Philosophy
After years of observing what did not work, we
decided to form a firm that encompassed a specific
and personal philosophy of how best to represent
the needs of the injured worker. There is more
to representing injured workers than merely settling
their case.We believe in empowering our clients
by explaining the law and their rights throughout
the course of their claim. By speaking with clients
as issues arise, and discussing options and the
strategies involved in achieving their desired
result, our clients become a part of the process.
Injured workers have a right to be involved in
every step of their case, rather than when it
suits their lawyer. Injured workers who are informed
about their rights, and who participate in important
decisions, do not feel entirely controlled by
the system. We inform our clients about developments
in the law. In an effort to educate all workers
about the law, we send periodic letters to our
clients addressing specific workers' compensation
issues. It is our hope that our education efforts
will help our client and their families avoid
problems in the future. We recognize that a work
injury effects a worker physically and emotionally.
We know the level of disruption an injury causes
to the life of an injured worker. Too many lawyers
only focus on the specific injury of the worker
and ignore the ways in which that injury has effected
the worker's family, self-esteem and life in general.
Listening to the client and trying to help with
all of the issues surrounding their injury is
an important part of our job.We maintain professional
relationships with lawyers who specialize in all
areas of the law. Injured workers often find that
they need the services of a bankruptcy lawyer,
a family law lawyer, an employment discrimination
lawyer or a consumer law lawyer after the are
injured. We help our clients find lawyers who
can help them with their other legal matters,
and we work closely with those lawyers to help
resolve those problems. We listen to our clients'
concerns and do our best to help them. Too many
lawyers tell their clients what they think should
be most important to them. The fact is, an injured
worker is very clear about what is important.
Our job is to listen and to provide the best and
most effective legal representation. In order
to hear your clients you must speak to them directly.
A large staff of paralegals and secretaries can
interfere with the relationship between clients
and lawyers. We make an effort to make certain
that our clients can immediately speak to their
lawyer when they call. How can we know our client's
concerns if we do not talk to them? No concern
is too small to be heard.

Each situation has unique issues and therefore
an attorney should be consulted before any action
is taken.
