Our Clients
We represent people from all over Georgia. Here
are examples of some of our clients, their injuries,
and how we have been able to help them. We are
representing a thirty-year old employee of a major
home repair retail chain. He has been disabled
for two years, and has had both neck and back
surgery. We have been very active in arranging
transportation to his medical appointments and
have fought to have medical procedures approved
when the insurance company denied treatment his
doctors recommended. We are representing a woman
who works as a biscuit maker for a small restaurant.
While employed there she suffered injuries to
both of her arms from the repetitive nature of
her work. When her first physician said there
was nothing more he could do for her, we successfully
petitioned the State Board of Workers’ Compensation
for a change in physician. Her new physician performed
surgery and she says her condition is improving. We
represent a house painter who fell from a ladder.
He suffered an injury to his head and his shoulder.
His treating physician released him to full duty
and his income benefits were suspended, even though
our client knew he could not return to his job.
We were successful in getting his benefits started
again, and in convincing the insurance company’s
lawyer that our client needed to see a new orthopedic
doctor and a referral to a psychiatrist. We represent
a woman who is a partial paraplegic as a result
of an on the job injury. We have been able to
secure a state of the art motorized wheelchair
and other accessories to ease her daily living
activities. We pursued and eventually secured
authorization for modifications to her home. We
were successful in getting her the appropriate
psychological care to help her deal with the dramatic
change in her life.We fought and won a change
in physician to a doctor of our choosing when
our client was not receiving aggressive and attentive
care from the employer’s panel doctor. Our
client is now receiving appropriate care from
the new treating physician, and as a consequence
the physical and emotional needs arising from
his work injury are being addressed. His condition
and outlook on his future has improved.
